Join us October 15-16th for the fifth annual Mount celebration of all things related to writing, this year with a special emphasis on publishing. A wide range of events is taking place on the Tuesday and Thursday: join a class to learn about how to get published (bring your draft query letter or the opening paragraphs of your opus), learn how to make effective posters and other visual forms of publication, try out your research blurb on a friendly audience, learn about and join Symmetry the Mount’s student publication … the full program is available at http://www.msvu.ca/CelebratingWriting
The highlight of the week is the one-day conference on Wednesday October 16, where we are bringing together a panel of writers and a panel of publishers to discuss the Changing Landscape of Publishing. Our key note speaker is Cynthia Good, director of Humber College’s Creative Book Publishing Program. Cynthia brought a career’s worth of publishing experience in Canada, most notably with Penguin Canada, to Humber and she is sharing that wisdom with us.
Join us for some or all of the conference. The program is also on the Celebrating Writing site.
