Celebrating Writing Week: Friday

We come to the end of an eventful Celebrating Writing Week at Mount Saint Vincent with one final session:  Wikipedia and Participatory Culture on Friday, November 16. 2:30-3:30.  Wikipedia, the encyclopedia that anyone can edit, is now over 10 years old. Join Anna Smol in this online discussion about student and faculty views of Wikipedia. How is Wikipedia used today in classrooms and by various institutions? How does Wikipedia, one of the leading examples of our digital “participatory culture,” challenge our teaching practices?  This discussion will take place via Blackboard Collaborate, connecting faculty from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB with members of the Mount community.

Notes: Please connect to the event by 2:20 p.m.  Turn your microphone off during the presentation. Technical support during the presentation will not be provided. If you would like to chat using voice rather than using the messaging window, run the Tools-Audio-Audio setup wizard.
